It's just so sad that we aren't able to watch the ending of the show. The way Ms Y said it: Carter dies and then Edward actually went to see Emily...and kisses his grand daughter...then Edward dies as well...Tom, Tommy, Matthew, whatever, climbs Everest and puts Edward's remains(nutty tin!)next to Carter's and strikes off 'have a magnificent view'. How nice! Tgt on the highest point on the Earth, where there is profound silence, and peace. Restful place huh.
