Tiring day.Woke up at 6. This feels like a normal school day doesn't it? Anyway, yeah, I woke up early cuz I'm going to ECP. By foot. We(me and my mum) took buses 67 and 197 to reach there. Wow, it was so darn cold in the bus that I think we were near to freezing! Luckily, we got down about 45 minutes later and thawed ourselves by walking the 'long mile'(not really a mile though). 410 doesn't start operating early on weekends, so we had to take the long way. And guess what? We reached there at around 8am, and we were really hungry and headed off to Macs...to eat. After enjoying hot milo and hotcakes+sausage, we went off to rent a bike! We got a bicycle each. But, there was a problem. My mum didn't know how to cycle. This posed a big problem for the both of us, because: 1) She didn't want to miss the fun of cycling. Heck, we travelled so far and not cycling would be a waste. 2) Well, if I cycled and she ran alongside me, it would be impossible for her to keep up. Old age and injury=.= 3) I insisted on getting the double-seated one so that we could cycle together, but it didn't work because I ended up struggling to cycle(had to balance the combined weight of me and my mum and well as to paddle). In the end, she decided to get a bike for herself and er... try cycling. Unfortunatley, it started drizzling and hour later. That forced me to abandon my 'endeavour' of cycling to the end of ECP and turn back. I met my mum halfway on my trip back. Seemed like she was having problems with her bike. Anyway, I returned mine first and ran back to get my mum's. In haste, I pushed the bike back. So I didn't notice that there was something wrong with the bike. Moreover, the rain was starting to get heavier. Back at the rental shop, the shopkeepers noticed something wrong with the bike and they tried hinting to me. I took quite awhile to realize it and they started shouting expletives. I tried to ignore them and walked away. No point in going low as them by shouting or fighting back. Hah, if it were like in professional tennis games, they would get slapped with fines. But sometimes, I think fines aren't enough. Well, I do agree sometimes it is frustrating when you lose points, but them shopkeepers? No reason... Oh well. Mooncake making session at the community in the afternoon. Once again, with my mum. Three words to describe the lesson: 'highly unprofessional' and 'boring'. It is more like a demonstration workshop than a crafting workshop. $25! Wasted. So, that was my tiring day! Whole day out =.= |
