Not so good day(and a dreadfully wet day)


I had Chinese oral today. I went into quite prepared. I told myself that I was going to read the passage slowly and carefully. Less mistakes that way. My brother told me that if I read slower, I could even express better. I decided to take his advice.

As we waited in the room for our turns, I felt completely at ease. I read my oral notes as I waited. After about 40 mins, Mr A called me out and I was to sit there, until Mr L said I could read the paper for 5 mins. The passage was really easy! I read it through twice, fluently, in my mind. There weren't any words I didn't know how to say.

I started off with the passage. I read really slowly this time, making an effort to change my tone. To my utter horror, I started pronouncing the characters wrongly! Like the 目 in the passage sounded like 母, as in 'mother'. At that moment, I really felt like a cow, pronouncing them all wrongly! Word after word, it became more and more screwed. I became more and more afraid. Hrmph, and that led to....screwing the whole thing! As for the conversation, the topic was about '整容'. A pretty weird topic aint it? Screwed.

It was raining in the afternoon, after oral. Got stranded at the bus stop. Didn't dare to walk in the heavy rain, even though I had an umbrella. That flimsy umbrella serves no purpose when in heavy rain. I will still get soaked like a water rat.
