Piano Man came to tune my piano yesterday. I must say my piano has been sounding horrible, since it wasnt tuned for the past 2 years. Since the time I took Grade8 I think. Now, I need to practice on a newly tuned piano, to get the feel of playing perfectly, as I am going to have my exam on the Grand.

Mr Piano Man dismantled the piano and started tuning it up. It took about half and hour. After the tune up, he just sat aside and asked me to test the piano, if it was all right. I said okay. I thought of playing my own pieces. So i sat down and started playing all my dip pieces. I think he felt bored, maybe because he didnt like Bach. Or maybe Bach preludes and fuges were too boring, to him. So, he started whistling some tunes, and i infered that he wanted me to play them. From there, I became an entertainer. Whatever he whistled or hummed, i guessed what song it was, rambled through the stack of scores I had(most of them never played before), and sight-read from them. Lots of mistakes and technical errors. At the end of it all, when he was exhausted from whistling, I thought he was going to boo me but didnt.

When my mother was paying up, Mr Piano Man told my Mum to buy a grand piano and she said, no it cannot fit since there isnt much space. Then he said,'Must get better piano for her, since she play so nice already,' Then he started talking about pianos. That's crazy. What he said is the opposite from my teacher. She says,'Only one month left, and the rate you are going, you wont pass. You need to internalize your music, and your expression range is too small.' Hmmmm....
