TRIP TO MALAYSIA!

29-30 DEC 2008

Last day in malaysia!

Went back to Ikano to exchange the matress protector that my mother bought. Seems like they gave her the wrong set the other day when Big Aunt brought us there.

Went to 1 Utama after that. Watched Derek, my cousin(my aunts son) cut bread at the bakery. He works there. Then we went to watch a movie, Ip Man. I like the show very much. Anything that has to do with kungfu is nice! I like to see them beat up each other. HAHAHAH! Reminds me of wushu. The guy in the show did not practice for 2 years++ yet he could still fight. Dunno whether i can still do wushu now. I think i've gone rusty. I forgot all the moves! Must ask Xinfeng to reteach. AHA!

After the movie, we all went to shop around. Ate Assam Laksa at some stall in PJ State then went to my aunt's place.

At 8.30pm, we took our bus back to Singapore. Wanted to watch X-MEN all over again since I watched only until the part where Prof Xavier dies. Unfortunately, the show was unavaliable. So i watched ANOTHER KUNG FU SHOW! Now I am kind of kungfu crazy. But this kungfu show with JetLi as the main actor is not as nice as the one by DonnieYen in IpMan. Maybe the horrible gigiantic angmo men fighting against JetLi put me off. IpMan is more realistic and makes you feel more for the person and HATE THE JAPANESE! Yay! Hate hour!

Reached Singapore at about 12.30am, 1 hour earlier before the estimated time. Well, the check out from Malaysia was fast! Even the taxidriver uncle agrees.

28 DEC 2008

Went to the same Chao Kway Tiao Man's shop again. Met my uncle and his wife there again. My uncle's friend owns that stall. After breakfast, we decided to go to Tapah. My aunt drove one car and my uncle drove the other. We were to go on a one day trip to Tapah.

On our way to Tapah, we wanted to stop at the Hot Springs. But as we got in, the security guard told us to make a u-turn and go home. As it was a sunday, there was some event on and the whole spring was booked. Sadly, we did not see the spring and continued our journey to Tapah.

Went to my granduncle and grandaunties home. My Mum, my aunts and uncle were busily talking to the 3 old folk on dieseases and stuff that old people get. I got bored after some time and also I did not quite understand most of what was said since they all switched from english mode to Hakka.

I went to the piano room and sight-read a few songs there. Very fun to play grade1 and grade2 pieces like Mary had a Little Lamb, We wish You a Merry Christmas etc. etc. But i think my Mum found the repetitive songs very boring and so she came in and made me play her favourite song, PengYou by Chau Wakin.....

Ate dinner at some restaurant opposite the road from the house. Then took a long ride back to KL.


27 DEC 2008

It was not raining today so we all got to exercise at the Lake.

My brother and aunt went for some malay wedding in the afternoon. I am not interested in malay weddings or whatsoever so i did not follow them. My brother isnt that interested in weddings either but he is going because of the food. He expects good rendang to be served.

Since my aunt and brother were out, my uncle fcame to pick us up and go to Denkil to eat. Surprisingly, Zoe was in the car too. My uncle and aunt(his wife) had to babysit her since my cousin(Zoe's Dad) was still working. Since the car ride was long, Zoe got restless and tried biting my shirt. I had to get her off and I didnt want her to start swallowing cat hair(i played with my aunt's cat earlier on). She wasnt a cat so she couldnt get rid of them.

In the evening, my Mum's university friend came to visit. They stayed at Seapark(some condo). They brought us to the Gardens to have dinner. Rather interesting dinner... Everything was cooked in tea.



26 DEC 2008

Spent this day with my BIg aunt. She brought us to the curve, ikea and ikano. These 3 malls were interlinked. She sugguested walking around the mall as to compensate what we didnt do today. No exercise at Taman Jaya Lake in the morning since it was raining.



25 DEC 2008

Christmas!

Went to exercise at Taman Jaya Lake again. Stayed around the house the whole day.

In the evening, we went to my uncle's house in Kota Kemuning and played with Zoe again. Saw my cousins and their wives. I seem very small, eqivalent to Zoe, since im the youngest cousin in my Mum's family side. So they keep calling me meimei... Getting bored, i went to watch TV. And there happens that Rob-B-Hood was showing. Another Jackie Chan movie. I stayed glued to the TV till 10pm and we all went home.


24 DEC 2008

Christmas eve!

My other aunt, so as we call her Big Aunt, came to pick us up and brought us to see her husband at work. Then she brought us to her house. I spent the evening at her place watching TV and playing with the cat.

In the evening, we went to Seksyen 2 to have dinner.



23 DEC 2008

Early gym again. Didnt dare to try doing the pulley thing again. Left Penang at about 10am.

Drove through some old roads, passing Taiping and other small towns. Only arrived back at my aunt's place in the night. Bought salted chicken and other biscuit stuff at our stop in Ipoh.

My Dad already came to KL and was at my aunt's place too.

In the night, my mum and dad's friend came to visit. To tired to see him and i just went to bed.


22 DEC 2008

Went to the gym in the morning. Did some muscle training stuff wrongly and ended up with a minor backache. Had breakfast in some street. Then we took the two cars.

In the afternoon, we went to Penang Hill. The service and everything was bad. They expect us to pay for the trip up the hill yet they do not organize everything well. The carriage that we took was so packed that sometimes we couldnt even get into it.

At night, we just went to some shop to take dinner.

21 DEC 2008

Left my aunt's house at about 8.30am to meet up with my uncle and his wife. We were to go to Penang today so we brought our luggage along too. Ate breakfast at the Chao Kway Tiao Man's shop today.

Took a half a day ride to Ipoh to see my Grandaunt. Drove up in two cars. I liked the highway very much and there were many hills and lots of green to see. But I dont like the parts where the car goes up and down some hills. The roads were narrow and it seemed like you could drop off.

My Grandaunt has a pawn shop in Ipoh. She is doing fine. Her shop is said to be at least 70years old.

After seeing her, we went all the way to Penang. We reached Butterworth at about 7pm. The Penang Bridge was so conjested with cars that we only managed to get across after 9pm. Two hours stuck in crazy traffic.

20 DEC 2008

Woke up early and walked with my mother Taman Jaya Lake to exercise while my brother followed my aunt to do some marketing.

I went to cut hair at some saloon in Cheras. First time I've gone through hair washing. Seems like they like to cut clean hair only.



19 DEC 2008

Woke up late, at about 9am. Stayed about my aunt's house the whole day. In the evening, my uncle came with his wife, daughter-in-law and his grandchild, Zoe.

This was the first time seeing Zoe. It felt really funny as Leanne, my cousin's wife, kept pushing Zoe to me and asking me to carry her. I said I was afraid that I would drop her. Haha. My brother(a cat lover), wanted to carry Zoe, and he did carry her. Yet, he was to put her down and not carry her since he tried to carry her like how he would carry a cat.



18 DEC 2008

Took the night bus to KL with my mother and brother. Went to Novena Square at around 7pm and had a light dinner. Once aboard the bus, i explored the new functions it had. For example, watching movies and listening to music. Last time (at least 2 years ago), it did not have a movie screen. They must have altered it. I watched the Joy Luck Club first. I did not finish the show as it was too 'M-18'. No wonder Mr Bobby didnt allow us to continue watching it after the girl performed. As there was still time left, i watched X-Men:The Last Stand, where Jean Grey goes crazy and turns into some monster called The Phoenix. Slept halfway during the movie and thus didnt get to finish it. I awoke to the part where Jean exploded Prof Xavier.

Reached Bangsar LRT at about 1.20am, a little earlier than expected. My aunt fetched us to her house.
